Robert W. Watson’s parents, to my knowledge, are not yet known with certainty, nor where Robert W. Watson was located before coming to Venango County, Pennsylvania. Robert W. was in Venango County by the early part of the nineteenth century, but apparently other Watsons, who may or may not have been related to our Watsons, were also in the area by that time. Robert's wife Margaret Henderson was born in Pennsylvania, probably present-day Mifflin County. Probably both our Watsons and Hendersons were from the north of Ireland, with the Watsons perhaps first living in Delaware after coming to North America.1 and the Hendersons in eastern Pennsylvania
